Carolyn Ohlsen and Savina Keaney Honored For Second Consecutive Year

St. Louis, Dec. 14, 2020 – Lowenhaupt & Chasnoff (L&C), a 112-year-old law firm focused on family wealth advisory and legal services, today announced that Carolyn M. Ohlsen, Managing Partner, and Savina Keaney, Attorney, have again been honored by Super Lawyers as top attorneys in Missouri and Kansas.

Ohlsen was named to the 2020 Missouri & Kansas Super Lawyers list. Keaney was named to the 2020 Missouri & Kansas Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than 5% of the lawyers in each state receive the Super Lawyers honor, and no more than 2.5% receive the Rising Stars honor.

She earned an MBA, Juris Doctor and B.S. in Business Administration from Saint Louis University.

Keaney has been a practicing lawyer since 2014. An estate planning and probate attorney, she concentrates her practice on wealth transfer, tax and charitable planning for individuals and families across generations. She earned a Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law and B.A. from Emory University.

Family Wealth Advisory Law Firm Deepens Trusts and Estates Expertise

St. Louis, Oct. 29, 2020Lowenhaupt & Chasnoff (L&C), a 112-year-old law firm focused on family wealth advisory and legal services, today announced that attorneys Peter LeBlanc, Jr. and Brendan McDermott have joined the firm.

LeBlanc and McDermott work with individuals and families, providing trusts and estates planning, client education, tax advisory, trustee and fiduciary services.

LeBlanc advises individuals and families on all phases of estate, trust and business entity planning, including tax, administration and legacy development. LeBlanc earned a Juris Doctor from Saint Louis University after graduating from Santa Clara University and earned an LL.M. in taxation from Washington University School of Law. Earlier in his career, he worked for U.S. Bank as a Trust Officer. A St. Louis native and lifelong Missourian, LeBlanc is a member of the Estate Planning Council of St. Louis, Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and Probate and Trust Section Steering Committee of the American Bar Association. LeBlanc has been recognized by Small Business Monthly as “Best Attorneys in St. Louis” and Super Lawyers “Rising Star” (Missouri and Kansas). Active in his community, LeBlanc has worked with a number of nonprofits in board and leadership roles, including St. Louis Actors’ Studio, Clayton Ecology & Environmental Awareness Committee, Clayton Century Foundation, and Leadership Clayton.

McDermott concentrates on estate and trust planning for individuals and families. Earlier in his career, he worked for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri, Housing Division. Watch this special video about Conflicts of Interest: Art and War in Modern Japan, currently on exhibit at the Saint Louis Art Museum. The exhibition showcases extraordinary visual material documenting Japan’s rise as a military power in East Asia, starting with the Meiji Restoration in 1868, then depicting events of the Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895) and the Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905), two wars between Japan and its imperial neighbors China and Russia, and then culminating with Pearl Harbor.

The exhibition is possible due to the generous gift of 1,357 Japanese prints and related works of art given to the Saint Louis Art Museum in 2010 by local donors, Charles and Rosalyn Lowenhaupt.
